This is actually correct. OU could have chosen to play at night on Saturday. But it’s my understanding that with a quick turnaround playing Michigan at 11 a.m. CT the next week and with the Oklahoma heat in Sept (even at night), it preferred to just play at night on Friday.

I talked to Mateer a couple of days ago at Manning Passing Academy. I actually asked him if he lost weight because of how lean he looked. He said he hasn’t lost or gained any weight. Just in better shape. “I’m in the best shape of my life, for sure.”
